Private Functions

Olivia features three private dining rooms which can accommodate events ranging in size from 6 – 40 guests for seated functions and up to 60 guests for a reception-style event.

Olivia also hosts semi-private spaces that can accommodate up to 50 people for a seated dinner and 80 people for a cocktail reception.

Our managers and executive chef are delighted to create custom menus for your special occasion. Additionally, our sommelier will graciously assist you in choosing selections from our extensive wine list of over 100 labels from Southern France, Greece, Italy and around the Mediterranean. Customize your bar package with selections from our unique specialty cocktails as well as options from our craft draught and bottled beers. Our private dining rooms are summarized below.

THE STATEROOM
Accommodates up to 12 guests for a seated function

For an intimate private dining event of up to twelve guests we invite you to join us in The Stateroom, ideal for a business luncheon or dinner situated around a reclaimed hardwood farmhouse table. The room is entirely enclosed and is complete with a built in 65” Flat Screen HDTV, perfect for presentations or to watch The Big Game.  

THE IBERIAN ROOM
Accommodates up to 20 guests for a seated function

Our most popular and versatile room, The Iberian Room overlooks 8th Street and the Historic Hotel Monaco and can host events of up to twenty persons for a seated function. 

The Iberian Room features three floor-to-ceiling windows in a fully private space complete with folding frosted glass French doors that open into the back of our main bar.  Additionally, the Iberian Room is just steps away from the Stateroom across the hall if you are considering a combination of spaces. The Iberian Room can be arranged in a host of different table configurations depending on the needs of your specific event.

THE GALLERY ROOM
Accommodates up to 40 guests for a seated function and 60 guests for a stand-up reception

Hosting a larger event?  The largest private dining space within Olivia, The Gallery Room has a stunning view overlooking the National Portrait Gallery through three floor-to-ceiling windows.  Decorated modestly with classical art from the Mediterranean and features a fully functional gas fireplace, The Gallery Room provides a warm and accommodating space for all manner of gatherings.  Perfect for business presentations, networking events or a wide array social functions The Gallery Room offers a ceiling mounted digital projector, wall-mounted audio and video controls and connections, a retractable video screen and blackout screens for the windows. 

The Gallery Room is a favorite for Congressional and Senatorial functions and has hosted a wide array of political heavy-hitters, Fortune 500 CEOs and celebrities from every trade.  Arranged in a multitude of fashions, The Gallery Room can be designed to host a wedding ceremony, transformed into a networking mixer, set as a boardroom or anywhere in-between depending on the nature of your function.  

COCKTAIL LOUNGE
Accommodates up to 45 guests for standing reception

If you are searching for a location to host the perfect after work or after hours we suggest the Cocktail Lounge with its surrounding floor to ceiling windows is the perfect venue for all your social or networking gatherings.  Accommodating standing receptions for 45 persons with enough space for passed or stationary hor ‘d oeuvres, this semi-private space within Olivia keeps your event in the action.  Overlooking the corner of 8th & F Streets, just steps from the Capital One Arena, The National Portrait Gallery and Sydney Harmon Hall and only a few blocks from the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, this venue is the perfect pre-game or pre-event locale.
